The Colorado Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do Association is happy to take on any students aged 11 years or older for Hapkido, and any students aged 5 years or older for Tae Kwon Do. Our classes are serious when it comes to learning practical self-defense, but are still friendly and relaxed.
Strength and general fitness are greatly improved through in-class exercises. However, we stress that perfection of technique is far superior to muscular force. This is achieved through the repetition of technique under Grand Master Hampton's guidance until proper positioning of all body parts for maximum leverage becomes the student's automatic reaction.
Classes are especially designed to meet the needs of someone going from middle school to high school, high school to college, college to the work place. They are also beneficial to anyone needing or wanting to learn how to protect themselves from being assaulted when they are going from home to school, to the work place or just out and about for recreation.
We believe that the ultimate aim of Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do is the building of character in the student. Classes are physically and mentally challenging at times, and through patience and determination the student will accomplish feats they previously thought beyond their abilities. This in turn will increase the student's self-confidence and self-image and will allow them to treat others with greater patience and respect.
Thank you for your interest in the Colorado Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do Association. We hope to see you soon!
